In Kazakhstan, a new service for emergency hospitalization notifications has been launched on the eGov.kz portal and in the eGov Mobile app, reports infohub.kz.

According to the Ministry of Health, if a person is in an accident, suddenly feels unwell, or is hospitalized for another reason, their relatives can now receive a notification about the hospitalization.

For this purpose, a new service "Registration of trusted contacts for notification in case of hospitalization" has been added to eGov. A citizen can specify up to three trusted persons who will receive a notification in case of hospitalization.

To use this free service on the eGov.kz portal, you need to: log in; select the service "Registration of trusted contacts for notification in case of hospitalization"; enter the IIN of the trusted person.

It is noted that the trusted contact must be over 18 years old and registered in the Mobile Citizens Database. "After that, the user confirms consent to the processing of personal data and the transfer of health information, and sends a request. The specified person will receive an SMS with an offer to confirm or reject the registration. To confirm, they need to reply with the code 911, to reject - 912. They have up to 5 hours to decide," the ministry clarified.

If the trusted contact confirms the registration, the user signs the request. After that, the information about the registered contact is transferred to the information system of the Ministry of Health.

In the eGov Mobile app, the service is located in the "Government Services" - "Healthcare" section. The user needs to select the service for registering trusted contacts and go through a similar procedure. The processing of the application by the Ministry of Health's information system takes up to 10 minutes.

The ministry added that the service was created so that relatives can quickly learn about the situation and contact the patient or medical organization in a timely manner.
