Starting January 1, Kazakhstan will introduce a new mechanism for distributing agricultural land that will completely eliminate the human factor and corruption risks, reports infohub.kz.
Vice Minister of Agriculture Azat Sultanov announced at a government briefing the transition to an electronic format for issuing land plots. Instead of paper applications and decisions by the land commission, an interactive map will be used, where every potential land user will be able to see in real time which plots are available and which are being prepared for distribution.
"From the new year, we are switching to a new format of land distribution. If currently land is allocated through paper applications and decisions of the land commission, where there are factors that can influence decision-making, then from January 1 we are switching to an electronic format - a land map will be in effect, and a potential land user will see in real time which land plots are currently free and are being prepared for distribution," said Azat Sultanov.
The new mechanism will allow for a complete abandonment of the land commission's work, ensuring transparency and eliminating the possibility of corruption. "The introduction of the new mechanism will allow us to exclude the land commission, thus ensuring transparency, eliminating the human factor and various possible corruption manifestations," the vice minister stated.
