The Committee for Sanitary and Epidemiological Control has published a new decree by the country's chief sanitary doctor, according to which flu vaccination will begin on September 15, reports infohub.kz.
The document states that the vaccine is recommended for people with chronic diseases, schoolchildren, pregnant women, the elderly, young children, as well as individuals in closed institutions and special social services organizations.
The chief sanitary doctor ordered that heads of local public health authorities in the capital, regions, and cities of republican significance must ensure that medical organizations are ready to conduct flu immunization starting September 15, prepare lists of persons subject to vaccination by September 3, comply with vaccine storage and transportation requirements, prepare vaccination rooms and teams, and introduce a mask regime for medical workers in clinics from October 1.
The decree specifically notes that vaccination will be carried out after obtaining informed consent from the individual. Additionally, from September 1, monitoring of ARVI, flu, and COVID-19 incidence will become weekly, and from October 1, daily.
