Kazakhstani athlete Zhaniya Bekmukhambetova from Kostanay has won the international table tennis tournament WTT Youth Contender Tashkent II, held in the capital of Uzbekistan. In the under-13 category, she claimed the gold medal, going through the entire tournament undefeated, reports infohub.kz.

According to the Table Tennis Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, under the guidance of coach Yulia Daniyarova, the young player confidently navigated the tournament, securing seven consecutive wins. On her way to the championship title, Zhaniya Bekmukhambetova successively defeated four representatives from Uzbekistan, two athletes from India, and one opponent from Turkmenistan, demonstrating a high level of skill and preparation.

The victory at the WTT Youth Contender Tashkent II marks another successful performance by Kazakhstani athletes on the international stage and earned the national team a gold medal at this prestigious youth table tennis tournament.
