Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Oljas Bektenov introduced new ministers appointed to several government agencies to cabinet members, reports infohub.kz.
According to the press service of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Oljas Bektenov presented the new ministers of ecology and natural resources, emergency situations, and culture and information to the staff.
During the introduction of the new Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, Bektenov thanked Erlan Nysanbayev for his work and contribution to the formation of ecological culture and environmental protection.
"The head of the government noted the extensive experience of Alibek Kuantyrov in public service and outlined the tasks set by the President for the Ministry. In particular, the importance of further effective implementation of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's initiative 'Taza Kazakhstan' was emphasized. The need for comprehensive execution of the President's instructions, further restoration of forest areas, development of a circular economy through waste processing, and infrastructure of national parks was noted. Projects for the construction of waste-to-energy plants in Astana, Almaty, and Shymkent, with subsequent scaling of this experience in other regions, should be under special control," the statement said.
The Prime Minister also introduced the new head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Murat Mukhanov, to the staff. The head of government expressed gratitude to Chingis Arinov for his work as minister and wished him success in his future professional activities.
"The tasks set for the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the new minister include ensuring the protection of the population and territory of the country from emergency situations. Oljas Bektenov instructed to continue work on improving the efficiency of the state civil protection system, increase the level of response to natural and man-made emergencies, and take measures to further strengthen the material and technical equipment of rescue units," the press service reported.
During the introduction of the new Minister of Culture and Information, Arman Kyrykbaev, the head of government Oljas Bektenov thanked Aida Balayeva for her fruitful work and wished her success in her new position at the Security Council.
"The Prime Minister noted the significant work experience of Arman Kyrykbaev in the fields of culture, information, and internal policy at both central and regional levels, and outlined the tasks set by the President for the ministry staff led by the new head," the statement notes.
Oljas Bektenov emphasized the importance of systematic work on developing constructive interaction between the state and civil society. Attention should be focused on comprehensive work on the implementation of state youth and family policy, taking into account the current needs of the population. Also, systematic coordination of work on strengthening interethnic and interfaith harmony should be ensured.
Recall that today the President of the country Kassym-Jomart Tokayev made a number of appointments, after which the new composition of the government was finally formed.
