Kazakhstan's artistic gymnastics team finished its run in the men's individual all-around at the 2026 Summer Asian Games in Japan without a medal, infohub.kz reports.
The competition took place on September 21 in Nagoya. Kazakhstan's Nurtan Idrisov finished ninth with a total of 76.965 points across the six apparatus.
Idrisov's best result came in the vault, where the judges awarded him 13.866 points. He scored 13.266 on the rings and 13.300 on the parallel bars.
Fellow Kazakhstani Ilyas Azizov took 13th place with 74.999 points. Milad Karimi was unable to complete all six apparatus and finished without an all-around score.
Despite the absence of medals in the individual all-around, Kazakhstan's gymnasts will continue competing at the Asian Games. Ahead lie the finals in the individual events, with medals up for grabs on each of the six apparatus: floor exercise, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars and horizontal bar.
