Kazakhstan is expected to experience a brief respite from the heat, with rains arriving in several regions from July 30 to August 1, reports the website infohub.kz citing Kazhydromet.
According to forecasters, intense heat will persist in the coming days, though some areas will see precipitation.
Under the influence of atmospheric frontal systems, the country will see short-term rains with thunderstorms, gusty winds, and possible hail. Heavy rain is forecast for the northwest, north, and east. In the south and southeast, dry air masses from Iran will prevent any precipitation.
Air temperatures will gradually rise across most of the country, except in the western, northwestern, and northern regions, where after the intense heat, daytime temperatures are expected to drop to +25...+35°C on August 1. Elsewhere — in the center, east, and southeast — temperatures will reach +33...+41°C, and in the south, +35...+44°C.
