Over the upcoming weekend, from August 8 to 10, nearly all regions of Kazakhstan will be under the influence of a powerful anticyclone, bringing scorching and dry weather. Thermometers may rise to +41°C, reports infohub.kz.

According to forecasters, a vast anticyclone will dominate the weather across most of the country, ensuring clear skies and high temperatures. However, the west and northwest will be affected by a northwestern cyclone, which by the end of the period will bring rain with thunderstorms and gusty winds, with hail possible in places. In the east, at the beginning of the period, and in the mountainous areas of the south and southeast throughout all days, a southern cyclone will cause local showers with thunderstorms.

The main cause of such intense heat will be air masses coming from Iran. Temperatures are expected to reach: in the north and east of the country — up to 35-39°C, classified as strong heat; in the south — also strong heat, up to 35-41°C; in the west and center — very strong heat, up to 36-41°C.
