Kazakhstan is preparing to launch a project to produce humanoid robots for industrial use, according to infohub.kz.
The press service of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education said the project will combine robotics, artificial intelligence, and industrial manufacturing, aiming to develop the country's own technological and engineering capabilities.
The ministry noted that the project will be implemented jointly with international technology company AgiBot, which specializes in developing and manufacturing humanoid robots and solutions in embodied artificial intelligence (Embodied AI). The partnership includes localizing technologies in Kazakhstan, developing engineering competencies, conducting scientific research, and training specialists.
Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek emphasized that the ministry's goal is not just to adopt ready-made technological solutions, but to build Kazakhstan's own engineering and scientific expertise. "Humanoid robot production should become a platform uniting universities, scientists, and industry into a single technological chain. This is about a full cycle—from training specialists and scientific research to developing technological solutions and applying them in industry. This is the model of integrating education, science, and production that we intend to scale," Nurbek said.
