Kazakhstan has launched a new educational program aimed at training specialists in digital forensics. For the first time in the country's law enforcement system, the training will be conducted under a program that provides for the awarding of two diplomas, reports the website infohub.kz.
The program includes 20 master's students from the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan. During the course, they will master digital forensics, cybersecurity, forensic examination, and modern methods of crime investigation.
The project is implemented by the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies together with the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) of India, as instructed by the Presidential Administration and with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
Upon completion of the training, graduates will receive diplomas from both universities. In addition, Kazakhstani specialists will be able to adopt international experience and acquire practical skills that will be useful in investigating crimes in the digital environment.
NFSU specializes in forensic examination, criminology, digital forensics, and cybersecurity.
The official launch of the program was attended by Acting Minister of Internal Affairs Yerzhan Sadenov, Acting Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek, as well as representatives of the Indian university and the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies.
