Starting in July 2026, Kazakh citizens will be able to enter Indonesia without a visa and stay for up to 30 days. A national passport and an electronic declaration are all that is required for the trip, according to infohub.kz.
The decision was made by Indonesia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The visa-free regime is reciprocal: Kazakhstan had earlier granted Indonesian citizens the right to enter the country without a visa and stay for up to 30 days.
"In deciding to grant visa-free entry, the Indonesian side took into account, among other things, the principle of reciprocity. Kazakhstan had previously granted Indonesian citizens the right to visa-free entry and stay in our country for up to 30 days. Thus, holders of national passports of both countries enjoy visa-free regimes with a stay of up to 30 days. Under the conditions set by the Indonesian side, the visa-free regime is free of charge and provides for single entry. The maximum stay is 30 days from the date of arrival," the statement said.
Citizens should also take into account the general requirements for entry into Indonesia. "As of October 1, 2025, all passengers arriving from abroad are required to fill out a single electronic declaration, 'All Indonesia.' The declaration is free of charge and can be completed in advance," the ministry added.
Earlier, it was reported that Indonesia's parliament called for tighter controls on foreigners.
