Posting a promotional video on Instagram for 25,000 tenge has cost a limited liability partnership a fine of more than 1.5 million tenge: a court in the Zhambyl Region found the company guilty of repeatedly distributing advertising for a bookmaker that does not comply with Kazakhstan's advertising law, the website infohub.kz reports.

According to the official Telegram channel of the Zhambyl Region courts, an appeal was heard in an administrative case against the limited liability partnership over the repeated distribution of advertising for a bookmaker that does not comply with the provisions of the Republic of Kazakhstan's advertising legislation (Part 6 of Article 455 of the Code of Administrative Offences).

The Baizak District Court established that in June 2026 a promotional video featuring a bookmaker's trademark was posted on an Instagram user's page, offering users a bonus for topping up their deposit. Earlier, in September 2025, the partnership had already been held liable for a similar violation.

A representative of the partnership did not admit guilt, saying that the author of the video was not an employee of the company and that the partnership had not commissioned its production.

The court established that the partnership is the sole holder of the rights to the published trademark in Kazakhstan. In addition, a witness confirmed that he had received an order to create the promotional video through Instagram and had posted it for 25,000 tenge.

The court of first instance found no mitigating or aggravating circumstances. The sanction under Part 6 of Article 455 of the Code of Administrative Offences provides for a fine on medium-sized business entities of 350 monthly calculation indices.

By a ruling of the Baizak District Court, the partnership was found guilty and fined more than 1.5 million tenge. The partnership appealed the court decision, but the appellate panel left the ruling unchanged. The court decisions have entered into force.
