Interior Minister Yerzhan Sadenov has signed an order approving a new badge for police officers, as well as the procedure for its issuance, storage, and return. The document was published on the website of the Reference Control Bank of Regulatory Legal Acts, reports infohub.kz.
According to the order, each officer of the commanding staff is assigned a personal number consisting of one letter and six digits. This number is assigned for the entire period of service and while in reserve. The number will be stamped on a metal badge, which is presented simultaneously with the assignment of the first special rank.
The personal number will be used in official documents: identification, personnel files, orders, documents on financial and clothing allowances, as well as in official correspondence. When transferring to another position, the officer will retain their previous personal number if it was already assigned at their previous place of service or registration.
Upon dismissal to the reserve or retirement, the badge must be returned to the personnel service, where it will be stored with the personal file.
The description states that the badge is made in the form of an oval metal plate with a thickness of 1.5–2 mm. The size along the major axis is 45 mm, along the minor axis — 26 mm. On the front side there is a strip stamped along the longitudinal axis. Above the strip is the inscription "AF RK", and below it — the series (a letter of the Russian alphabet) and the badge number. To the left of these inscriptions, there is a hole with a diameter of 4 mm for attaching the badge to the uniform or personal file.
