Kazakhstan's junior triathlon team won a silver medal in the mixed relay at the European Cup stage in Izvorani, Romania, reports infohub.kz.
The team, which posted a time of 01:34:56, consisted of Diana Yerzhanova, Alua Nurmukhamet, Alham Murat, and Arseniy Shevchenko. The host nation Romania won with 01:34:31, while Turkey took third with 01:35:42.
Earlier, Diana Yerzhanova won gold in the individual event with a time of 00:35:41. Romania's Tunde Krisan finished second (00:35:48), followed by Italy's Alice Ventre (00:35:50).
Among other Kazakh athletes, Alua Nurmukhamet placed fifth (00:36:03), Kaleria Schneider sixth (00:36:07), and Aida Kim ninth (00:36:13).
