In Kazakhstan, drivers who play loud music with profanity in their cars in public places face administrative arrest, according to infohub.kz.
As explained by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, broadcasting songs with profanity from a car or portable speakers in public places is classified under Article 434 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Kazakhstan — "Petty Hooliganism." This violation carries a fine of 20 monthly calculation indices (86,500 tenge in 2026) or administrative arrest for up to 15 days. For a repeated offense, the driver may be arrested for 20 days.
If the loud music was played at night, the driver's actions may additionally be classified under Article 437 of the Administrative Code — "Violation of Peace and Quiet." This refers to the period from 10 p.m. to 9 a.m. on weekdays and from 11 p.m. to 9 a.m. on weekends and holidays.
Public places include streets, parks, entrances of residential buildings, building lobbies, and public transport. Police can detect such violations not only through citizen complaints but also during patrols and while monitoring social media.
