Applications for the comprehensive test for admission to master's programs and for doctoral entrance exams open on October 28 and will run through November 10, the press service of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education said, according to infohub.kz.

Applications are being accepted on the website of the National Testing Center. The ministry said applications from those seeking admission to applied master's programs in groups of educational programs requiring creative preparation will be accepted by higher and (or) postgraduate education institutions from October 28 to November 10 of this year.

The testing itself will take place in November–December. When registering, applicants choose the city where they will take the test. Changes to an application regarding the group of educational programs, language and testing city can be made until the application period closes on November 10.

"After the application database closes, the selected group of educational programs and testing city cannot be changed. Information on the testing date will be available in the applicant's personal account on November 13," the Ministry of Science and Higher Education said.

The comprehensive test for admission to the research and teaching master's program is conducted electronically and consists of three blocks: a foreign language test, a test to determine readiness for study and a test in the profile of the group of educational programs. The test lasts 3 hours 55 minutes.

The passing score is 75, including at least 25 in the foreign language, at least 7 in the readiness test, and in the profile of the group of educational programs: at least 7 in the first specialized discipline and at least 7 in the second specialized discipline.

Those seeking admission to the applied master's program take only the test in the profile of the groups of educational programs. The passing score will be 30, including at least 7 in the first specialized discipline and at least 7 in the second specialized discipline.
