The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan has announced when the results of the competition for state educational grants for master's degree programs will be published, reports infohub.kz.
According to the ministry's press service, on August 21, a meeting of the Republican Commission for awarding state educational grants for master's programs for the 2026-2027 academic year took place. The commission included representatives of the ministry, relevant state bodies, education sector trade unions, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan, and public organizations. During the meeting, submitted applications were reviewed and the distribution of educational grants was carried out in accordance with current rules, based on competitive selection.
This year, about 23,000 applications were submitted for the competition, which is 3,000 more than last year. The most popular fields among future master's students are "Pedagogical Sciences," "Information and Communication Technologies," and "Engineering, Manufacturing, and Construction Industries."
The results of the competition will be published by August 25 on the official social media pages of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Testing Center. Enrollment of future master's students will be conducted until August 28 inclusive.
