In Budapest, the capital of Hungary, the international ranking wrestling tournament kicked off with Kazakhstan's team participating. On the first day, medals were awarded in six freestyle weight categories, and Kazakh wrestlers secured six medals, according to NUR.KZ citing the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan.

Asyl Aytakyn won the gold medal. In the final of the 61 kg category, he defeated Turkey's Tolga Ozbek. Another Kazakh, Adilet Almukhamedov, won bronze in the same weight class.

Nurkhoja Kaypanov reached the final in the 74 kg category but lost to China's Feng Lu, settling for silver.

Bronze medals went to Nurdanat Aitanov and Meirambek Kartbay in the 57 kg category, and Nachyn Kuular in the 65 kg category.

Today, July 16, freestyle wrestlers in the 79, 92, 97, and 125 kg categories will compete. Additionally, women's wrestling will begin.
