Kazakhstan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs is continuing to work on appeals from citizens of the republic who have ended up in a combat zone and is negotiating their return to their homeland, reports infohub.kz.
A video appeal from a 19-year-old man appeared on the Telegram channel "Letters to the President." He said that after a previous appeal, he had been waiting 10 days for the promised assistance with returning to Kazakhstan.
According to the young man, the issue has still not been resolved. He also claims that they have already begun to be sent to war.
A NUR.KZ correspondent was told at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan that the agency continues to work on appeals from Kazakhstanis in the combat zone.
"Necessary measures are already being taken with regard to the citizens who recorded video appeals on social media. Negotiations are underway for their return to their homeland. Appeals continue to arrive on the hotline. Information on each of them is being verified. After the verification is completed, the compiled list will be sent to the Russian side. The Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan maintains constant interaction on this issue with the Russian side at various levels," the ministry emphasized.
Recall that an appeal previously appeared online from Kazakhstanis who claim they were deceived into entering the combat zone in Russia.
Later, the Foreign Ministry commented on appeals that appeared in the media from citizens of Kazakhstan requesting assistance in returning to their homeland.
