Kazakhstan has found its representative for the international beauty pageant "Miss World 2026": it will be Bagym Baltabayeva, who won the title of Miss Qazaqstan in 2024, reports the website infohub.kz.
As it became known, this year's competition will be held in Vietnam, bringing together participants from more than a hundred countries. The director of the Miss Qazaqstan contest, Ramina Ibragimova, emphasized that "Miss World" is not just a beauty contest, but a platform with the philosophy of "Beauty with a Purpose." Not only external appearance is assessed, but also personal qualities, as well as the ability to present one's own charitable project. Therefore, winners of national selections actively engage in charity work throughout the year.
Bagym Baltabayeva hails from Ust-Kamenogorsk. She graduated from the Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University with a degree in pedagogy. As part of her preparation for the contest, the young woman has focused on charitable initiatives aimed at supporting single mothers and families with children in difficult life situations.
An important stage of the competition will be the presentation of the national costume. Kazakhstan will present the image of a Kazakh woman through the symbolism of a swan. Bagym explained: "The basis of my national costume is the image of a swan - a symbol of purity, fidelity, and spiritual strength. Through this image, I want to convey the elegance, dignity, and rich inner world of a Kazakh woman."
On August 7, the representative of Kazakhstan will depart for Vietnam, where she will participate in the competition program, international cultural events, and official events of "Miss World" for a month. Her return home is scheduled for September 7.
