Analysts at Finprom have disclosed data on the remuneration received by top managers of Kazakhstan's national companies and identified the organizations with the highest payouts, reports infohub.kz.
According to the analysts' report, there are currently 22 national companies in the country, including national managing holdings and national holdings.
For 2025, the largest total remuneration to members of the executive body among all national companies was paid by the National Atomic Company Kazatomprom — 903.3 million tenge.
Next in terms of total remuneration were Kazakhstan Temir Zholy — 721.3 million tenge and KazMunayGas — 519.1 million tenge.
The top 10 for payments to executive body members also included: QazaqGaz — 515.2 million tenge; Kazakhtelecom — 504.1 million tenge; KEGOC — 496.3 million tenge; Baiterek NMH — 440.4 million tenge; the Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan — 283.3 million tenge; National Information Technologies (NIT) — 188.4 million tenge; and Tau-Ken Samruk — 170.9 million tenge.
The analysts note that the number of executive body members varies from company to company. One company may have just one executive body member, while another may have more than 10. The remuneration figures refer to the total amount.
"The amount of remuneration for executive body members increased in almost all national companies for which information is available. A reduction in total payments was recorded in only four companies, including Kazakhtelecom (minus 130.5 million tenge), Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary (minus 69.2 million tenge), Kazpost (minus 26.7 million tenge), and Kazakh Tourism (minus 6.2 million tenge)," the report says.
The largest increase in remuneration was seen at the market leader, the National Atomic Company Kazatomprom — up 226.7 million tenge over the year, or 33.5% — a notable gain. QazaqGaz (up 94.5 million tenge, or 22.5%) and NIT (up 86.9 million tenge, or 85.7%) also significantly increased payments to executive body members.
The highest average payment per executive body member in 2025 was at: Kazatomprom — 112.9 million tenge; KEGOC — 99.3 million tenge; Baiterek NMH — 62.9 million tenge; KazMunayGas — 57.7 million tenge; and the Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan — 56.7 million tenge.
The average remuneration per executive body member across different national companies ranged from 7.8 million to 112.9 million tenge, a difference of almost 15 times. That is, in one company a top manager received more than 9 million tenge per month, while in another — just over 500,000 tenge. Overall, in 13 of the 22 national companies, the average remuneration per executive body member exceeded 2 million tenge per month.
