President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has approved the new composition of the government, reports infohub.kz.
Earlier, Olzhas Bektenov was reappointed as Prime Minister. Now his deputies and ministers have been determined.
Nurlybek Nalibayev (retained as First Deputy Prime Minister), Galymzhan Koishybayev, and Kanat Bozumbayev have become Deputy Prime Ministers. Serik Zhumangarin and Zhaslan Madiyev also retained their posts as Deputy Prime Ministers but continue to head ministries: Zhumangarin leads the Ministry of National Economy, and Madiyev heads the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development.
Several ministries have seen personnel changes. Mukhtar Tleuberdi, who previously held this position, has been reappointed as Minister of Foreign Affairs. Arman Kyrykbayev, formerly an aide to the president, has become Minister of Culture and Information. It is worth noting that Aida Balayeva has moved to the position of Deputy Chairman of the Security Council.
Yerlan Nyssanbayev has been relieved of his post as Minister of Ecology; his place has been taken by Alibek Kuantyrov. Chingis Arinov has also left the post of Minister of Emergency Situations; the new head of the agency is Mukhtar Mukhanov.
The other ministers have retained their posts. Dauren Kosanov continues to head the Ministry of Defense, Yerzhan Sadenov – the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Madi Takiyev – the Ministry of Finance, and Nurlan Sauranbayev – the Ministry of Transport. Yerlan Sarsembayev has been reappointed as Minister of Justice, and Yerlan Akkenzhenov as Minister of Energy. Yersaiyn Nagaspayev remains Minister of Industry and Construction, and Zholdas Suleimenova – Minister of Education.
