Employers in Kazakhstan can now arrange mandatory accident insurance for their employees online, according to infohub.kz.
NUR.KZ reports, citing the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, that a new online service has been launched on the website of the State Annuity Company, a life insurance joint-stock company. With its help, employers can independently conclude mandatory accident insurance contracts for employees in the performance of their work duties. It is no longer necessary to visit an office or contact a manager.
"The entire process is available online: from registration and entering the necessary information to receiving a calculation, generating the contract, and signing it. Documents and certificates are uploaded directly through the portal in accordance with established requirements. When filling out the forms, some information is automatically loaded from government information systems and the Unified Insurance Database. The employer enters the remaining data independently. Before signing the contract, there is an opportunity to review the entered information and make changes if necessary," the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population said.
To conclude a contract, a valid electronic digital signature of a legal entity is required. All main procedures are carried out on a single website without the need to switch to third-party services.
"The launch of the online service is primarily aimed at making insurance registration more convenient and accessible for employers. The ability to complete the procedure independently in digital format saves time and allows obtaining the necessary service without visiting an office," emphasized Olzhas Ashkeyev, chairman of the board of the State Annuity Company.
It is noted that mandatory accident insurance is one of the mechanisms of social protection for workers. In cases provided by law, insurance payments compensate for harm associated with loss of ability to work, as well as legally stipulated expenses for treatment, medical and professional rehabilitation.
According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, as of the current period, about 3.5 million workers are covered by mandatory accident insurance, which is 1 million 130 thousand more than a year earlier.
