A sociological survey shows that the majority of Kazakhstani citizens support the 'Law and Order' principle and consider the presidential initiative 'Taza Kazakhstan' a priority, reports the website infohub.kz.
The findings of a study by the Kazakhstan Institute for Social Development, conducted in the second quarter of 2026 among 2,400 respondents from all regions of the country, indicate that 87.3% of those surveyed are aware of the implementation of the 'Law and Order' principle. Awareness remains high in both cities and rural areas, where 85.1% of residents know about it.
Regardless of age, Kazakhstani people equally highly value the importance of law enforcement, reflecting a formed public demand for justice, responsibility, and the rule of law.
Most survey participants believe that maintaining law and order is the responsibility not only of the state but also of citizens themselves. Specifically, 43.6% of respondents are convinced that the state and society share equal responsibility, while another 30.6% believe that it primarily lies with every individual Kazakhstani. Thus, 74.2% of respondents associate law enforcement with personal responsibility—either solely or jointly with the state. This stance is most pronounced among youth: more than half of Kazakhstani aged 18 to 28 (52.8%) think that each citizen is primarily responsible for upholding law and order.
The presidential concept 'Taza Kazakhstan' was named a priority by 67.1% of study participants. The initiative enjoys support across various age and professional groups—students, middle-aged people, individual entrepreneurs, and respondents with higher education. The survey also showed increased satisfaction with the state of social infrastructure. The highest ratings were given to the accessibility of schools (78.9%), cultural institutions (73.8%), kindergartens (73.5%), sports complexes (72.3%), and places for recreation and walks (73.7%). Families with children, large families, youth under 28, and public sector employees rated the work of state institutions most highly.
The importance of the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence declared by the Head of State was noted by 66% of respondents. The initiative received the strongest support among youth aged 18–28 (65.2%) and citizens aged 29–45 (68.6%). Meanwhile, 60.7% of survey participants overall advocate for the active implementation of artificial intelligence technologies in key areas of the country's development.
According to the study authors, the survey results indicate that the greatest public support is for initiatives related to improving quality of life, developing technology, enhancing governance, education, and ecological culture.
