More than 1,000 accounts and free listings used by online fraudsters have been blocked on Kolesa Group platforms. To identify criminals faster, the company and Kazakhstan's Prosecutor General's Office have formalized their cooperation with a memorandum, according to infohub.kz.

According to the Prosecutor General's Office, the parties agreed to promptly exchange information, share data in the context of criminal investigations, and block fraudulent accounts and listings.

Users are being urged not to create accounts or post listings at the request of strangers if they do not know the purpose. The scheme may look harmless: someone asks you to register an account or publish a listing in your name. But if the account is used to deceive others, its owner risks becoming a suspect in a criminal case.

Kolesa Group's press service said that moderators of Kolesa.kz and Krisha.kz check up to 65,000 listings daily, including those flagged by users. In 2025, the team stopped 25,000 attempts at dishonest posting. In addition, neural networks reviewed 4 million photos, and 72,000 fake images were blocked on Kolesa.kz.

"User safety is one of Kolesa Group's top priorities. We are pleased to cooperate with the Prosecutor General's Office: the memorandum will allow us to identify fraudulent schemes faster and together build an honest and safe secondary market," the company said.

The Prosecutor General's Office warns that an account owner may face criminal liability if the account is used for fraud. The maximum penalty can reach 10 years in prison.
