After the exhausting 40-degree heat, Kazakhstan is finally set to experience a long-awaited cooldown. Forecasters from Kazhydromet warn of rain, thunderstorms, and hail expected in most parts of the country in the coming days, reports infohub.kz.
The sudden weather change will be caused by the collision of warm and cold air masses. According to forecasts, heavy downpours with thunderstorms, stormy winds, and hail will hit most of the republic. The only exceptions will be the western regions and the Kyzylorda region, where no precipitation is expected. In the west, northwest, north, and center of the country, fog is possible at night and in the morning.
The most intense precipitation is forecast for August 15 in the Kostanay region, and on August 16 in the North Kazakhstan, Akmola, and Pavlodar regions.
The temperature background will also undergo significant changes. In western Kazakhstan, daytime temperatures will rise from +18...+26 to +25...+33 degrees. In the Aktobe region, stable weather will persist with temperatures of +20...+30 degrees. In the Kostanay and North Kazakhstan regions, nighttime temperatures will drop to +7...+12 degrees. In the Akmola and Pavlodar regions, daytime temperatures are expected to range from +30...+35 to +17...+25 degrees. In the central and eastern areas, the intense heat will also subside. In the south, scorching weather will persist with temperatures up to +38...+44 degrees, while in the southeast, daytime temperatures will be +34...+36 degrees.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that on August 14, several regions of Kazakhstan were expected to see heat up to +41 degrees and hail.
