Kazakhstan is ready to provide a venue for negotiations between Russia and Ukraine to resolve the conflict, should a formal request be made, according to infohub.kz.
An official inquiry was sent to the press service of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the ministry has responded. It emphasized that the republic consistently advocates for a peaceful, political and diplomatic resolution of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and has repeatedly stated its readiness to offer the necessary conditions and a platform for talks if both parties express such a desire.
The ministry added that if such a request is received, it will be considered promptly, taking into account all necessary organizational and technical requirements. It is worth recalling that earlier this year, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, in an interview with Pakistan's The News International, also stated Kazakhstan's readiness to host negotiations on Ukraine.
The Foreign Ministry's position on this matter has remained unchanged for several years. As early as 2022, the Kazakh ministry was ready to provide a platform if both sides deemed it necessary.
