A fresh ranking determining the best countries for relocation in 2026 has been published. Kazakhstan placed 77th, influenced by cold winters and property prices, reports infohub.kz.
The analytical portal Rumavi Global Relocation Index, which releases its data at the end of the second quarter, assessed 192 countries across 24 criteria. In 2026, Estonia took the lead, followed by Singapore, Malaysia, Portugal, Taiwan, Lithuania, Hong Kong, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Czechia, and Malta.
Kazakhstan ranked 77th overall. In subcategories, the country showed the following results: 70th for retirees, 60th for digital nomads, 76th for family comfort, 68th for business, and 60th for tax system.
Experts noted: "Kazakhstan ranks 77th overall with a score of 62.9/100, positioning it as a mid-tier destination with particular appeal for digital nomads (#60). Exceptional affordability, including some of the world's lowest housing prices, is offset by low English proficiency, a developing startup ecosystem, and harsh winters that limit climate comfort."
