Kazakhstan is preparing for personnel changes in two regions. Meetings of maslikhat deputies in the Atyrau and Ulytau regions have been scheduled for July 17 to consider approving new akims, reports Orda.kz.
The first indication of a change in regional leadership came from the Atyrau region. The apparatus of the regional maslikhat announced that a meeting of deputies will be held on July 17. The region is currently headed by Serik Shapkenov.
A few hours later, a similar announcement appeared in the Ulytau region. According to the published notice, deputies will gather on July 17 at 11:00 in Zhezkazgan to approve the candidacy of a new akim. Registration for participants will begin at 10:00.
Currently, the Ulytau region is led by Dastan Ryspekov, who has held this post since October 2024.
Thus, as early as tomorrow, Kazakhstan may see two regional governors replaced simultaneously. The names of candidates for these positions have not yet been officially announced.
