Restaurant and cafe patrons in Kazakhstan are increasingly sharing their frustration over small things that can ruin a dining experience. And it's not necessarily about dirt or poor service. This is reported by infohub.kz.

On the social network Threads, users discussed what annoys them most in restaurants and cafes. The post drew nearly 200,000 views, and in the comments diners shared their observations.

One of the most discussed complaints was QR code menus. Users complained that loading them sometimes takes several minutes, especially when the internet connection is poor. Others are irritated that a waiter approaches to take the order almost immediately after the menu opens. According to one user, this causes a "pathological sense of guilt."

Drinks also came in for criticism. Users noted that teapots are sometimes smaller than the cups, and cocktails contain too much ice. Blogger Alisher Yelikbayev shared this observation. Lemonades made from syrups with mineral water were not spared either.

Water was discussed separately by food lovers. Some believe restaurants should provide it free of charge, while others respond that water must also be paid for. At the same time, some establishments adhere to the principle that drinking water is a basic human right and cannot be denied.

Another popular complaint was restrooms, though not about cleanliness. People are often put in an awkward position by hard-to-use faucets. Such restrooms, according to guests, sometimes resemble an "intelligence test."

On social media, trendy sinks have long become a meme of their own. Notably, the more expensive the restaurant, the higher the chance of encountering such a quest.

In the comments, users also recalled dish prices. Some dislike when the cost is listed per 100 grams, since the final price is unpredictable. The notorious 10% service charge was also mentioned.
