Kazakhstan continues to run its rural relocation program, designed to bring qualified specialists to the regions. Participants receive one-time cash payments and subsidized loans to build or buy housing, and on October 16 the list of eligible participants was updated, the website infohub.kz reports.
According to the Telegram channel ZANGER | PRG, specialists in archiving and digital technology have been added to the list of professions covered by the program. Previously, support extended to workers in education, healthcare, social welfare, the agro-industrial sector, culture, sports and the civil service.
In addition, students can now qualify for the support measures — Kazakh citizens who return to the regions to work and live after completing their studies.
The amounts of support remain unchanged. The relocation allowance is 100 MCI, or 432,500 tenge in 2026, and is paid as a lump sum. The budget loan is offered at 1% per annum: up to 2,500 MCI (10,812,500 tenge) for district administrative centers and up to 2,000 MCI (8,650,000 tenge) for other rural settlements.
"A specialist may apply for support within three years of arrival (registration). The grounds for suspending the provision of the public service have also been expanded. When building housing, the recipient must notify the state architectural and construction control authorities of the start of construction at least 10 working days in advance," the source notes.
It is also important to remember that program participants will be monitored — those who fail to meet the conditions may be required to repay the money.
