A storm warning has been issued for several regions of Kazakhstan: fog, ice, and localized precipitation are forecast for October 15, with dust storms and strong winds expected in some areas, according to infohub.kz.
According to Kazhydromet meteorologists, fog is expected in Astana tomorrow. At night, ice is forecast in the west, east, and south of the Abai region. Northwest wind in the east, south, and center of the region will be 15–20 meters per second, with gusts up to 25 meters per second.
Fog will also cover the Akmola region tomorrow.
On October 15, fog is also expected in the Aktobe region. East and southeast wind, during the day in the west, north, and center of the region, gusts of 15–18 meters per second. High fire danger persists in the east of the region, and extreme fire danger in the west, south, and center of the region.
A dust storm is expected in the Atyrau region. Southeast wind, during the day in the north, west, and south of the region, gusts of 15–20 meters per second. High fire danger persists across the region, with extreme fire danger in the south and east.
In the Almaty region, northeast wind, in the north, south, east, and mountainous areas, gusts of 15–20 meters per second. At night, frosts of 1 to 3 degrees are expected on the soil surface in the north and west of the region.
On October 15, precipitation, at times heavy (rain, snow), is expected in the East Kazakhstan region. Fog and ice are forecast in the east and mountainous areas. Northwest wind, in the west, east, and south of the region, 15–20 meters per second, gusts up to 25 meters per second.
In the Zhetisu region, northeast wind is expected: in the east and mountainous areas, gusts of 15–20 meters per second, in the area of Alakol lakes — 23–28, at times 30 meters per second and more. Fog is expected in the mountainous areas of the Zhetisu region. High fire danger persists in the east of the region.
Tomorrow, ice is forecast in the Karaganda region. At night and in the morning, fog in the east of the region. Northeast wind, in the north, east, and south of the region, gusts of 15–20 meters per second. Extreme fire danger persists in the west of the region.
At night and in the morning, fog is forecast in the west and north of the Kostanay region. High fire danger persists in the south of the region.
In the Kyzylorda region, northeast wind is expected, during the day in the east and center of the region, gusts of 15–20 meters per second. Extreme fire danger persists across the region, with high fire danger in the north and center.
A dust storm is expected in the north and center of the Mangystau region. Southeast wind, in the west, north, and center of the region, gusts of 15–20 meters per second. High fire danger persists in the center of the region.
At night and in the morning, fog is forecast in the west, south, and center of the Pavlodar region. Similar weather is also expected in the North Kazakhstan and Turkistan regions.
On October 15, northeast wind is expected in the Ulytau region, in the morning and during the day in the north, east, and south of the region, gusts of 15–20 meters per second. Extreme fire danger persists in the west, south, and center of the region.
