The State Revenue Committee has sent notifications to some Kazakhstanis about discrepancies found in reported income, according to infohub.kz.

According to the SRC, as a result of desk audits, discrepancies were found in the completeness of income reporting by individual entrepreneurs operating under the generally established taxation regime. Errors were also made by taxpayers applying the special tax regime for peasant or farm enterprises. The period in question is 2025.

“The discrepancies were identified based on the study and analysis of tax forms, electronic invoices (EI), data from second-tier banks (POS terminals and mobile payments), as well as other sources of information. Based on the results of the desk audit, taxpayers were sent corresponding notifications,” the official statement reads.

The SRC emphasized that taxpayers have the opportunity to resolve the discrepancies themselves. After receiving a notification, they have 30 working days (about 45 calendar days) to respond.

“If you agree with the discrepancy, submit additional tax reports and pay the self-assessed taxes. If you believe there is no violation, provide an explanation with justification. This is an equally valid way to fulfill the notification,” the tax service added.

You can check for a notification and respond to it in your personal taxpayer account.
