Kazakhstan's Ministry of Finance State Revenue Committee has identified discrepancies in income reporting among taxpayers using the simplified declaration special tax regime. The audits were triggered by bank data on mobile transfers received from 100 or more different individuals during each of three consecutive calendar months, according to infohub.kz.
The committee explained that upon receiving a notification, it must be fulfilled within 30 working days, which is about 45 calendar days. If the taxpayer agrees with the identified discrepancies, they must submit additional reports and pay the additional taxes.
If they disagree, they must provide a justification — this also counts as fulfilling the notification. The corresponding statement from the State Revenue Committee is cited by an official source.
Taxpayers can check and fulfill the notification in their taxpayer account. It was previously reported that Kazakhstanis were asked to submit new tax reports due to data discrepancies.
