The total amount of deposits held by Kazakhstani citizens, which has exceeded 30 trillion tenge, continues to grow. At the same time, the share of savings in foreign currency has decreased. In June, bank deposits of the population of Kazakhstan exceeded 30 trillion tenge for the first time. In July, the amount continued to grow. According to the National Bank, it now stands at 30.4 trillion tenge. The monthly growth is 1.3%.
At the same time, Kazakhstani citizens hold 24.5 trillion tenge in tenge (+2%), and 5.9 trillion tenge in foreign currency (converted to tenge). The "dollar" share decreased by 1.7% compared to June.
Most savings are held in time and demand deposits: 19.4 trillion tenge in national currency, and 4.7 trillion tenge in foreign currency. In savings accounts: 2.6 trillion and 27.4 billion tenge, respectively.
As for the rates on tenge deposits attracted by banks from individuals, according to the National Bank, there were no changes over the month – the average market interest rate remains at 14.7%. In foreign currency – 0.9%.
