Kazakhstani tennis players Andrey Golubev and Aleksandr Nedovyesov have ended their run at the 2026 US Open, reports infohub.kz.
The athletes competed in the men's doubles. In the first round, they faced Czech duo Adam Pavlasek and Patrik Rikl.
The match lasted just two sets and ended in defeat for the Kazakh pair with a score of 5:7, 3:6.
The players spent 1 hour and 20 minutes on court. During that time, Golubev and Nedovyesov hit one ace, committed six double faults, and converted one of two break points.
After their exit, Aleksandr Bublik remains the only Kazakhstani in the men's doubles draw. He advanced to the second round alongside Chinese player Junchuan Shang. In the women's doubles, Kazakhstani Anna Danilina is competing with Serbian Aleksandra Krunic.
The US Open is the final Grand Slam tournament of the season, held on hard courts in New York.
