Kazakhstan's wrestling team wrapped up its campaign at the Youth World Championships, finishing ninth in the medal standings. The tournament, held in Bratislava, brought together 700 young athletes from various countries, who competed for 120 sets of medals in three disciplines: Greco-Roman, freestyle, and women's wrestling... reports infohub.kz.

On the final day of competition, freestyle wrestler Nurdaulet Seilbek, competing in the 74 kg category, secured a bronze medal. In the third-place bout, he confidently defeated Italy's Alessio Antonio Perentina with a score of 10:5.

En route to the medal, Seilbek overcame Romania's Catalin Spinu (11:1) and Turkey's Umut Uslu (3:1), but fell to American Jayden James (4:13) in the semifinals.

Other freestyle representatives — Sunkar Seidakhmet (70 kg), Samir Dursunov (97 kg), and Riza Izakhar (125 kg) — failed to reach medal bouts.

In total, Kazakhstan was represented by 30 athletes in Bratislava: 20 men and 10 women. They collected five medals of various denominations. Gold in the 67 kg category was won by Greco-Roman wrestler Kyzybek Kalmagambetov. Silver was added by freestyle wrestler Bekasyl Asambek (61 kg). Bronze medals were claimed by Uldana Tileukhan (68 kg), as well as freestyle wrestlers Nurasyl Asambek (57 kg) and Nurdaulet Seilbek.

In the medal standings, Kazakhstan tied for ninth place with Armenia. Japan claimed the top spot, edging out the Russians at the finish, while the United States took third.
