Kazakhstan has resumed issuing tourist codes for organized tours to the United Arab Emirates. The restriction had been in place since February 28, when the situation in the Middle East escalated, infohub.kz reports.
According to the corporate fund "Turistіk Qamqor," which spoke to a NUR.KZ correspondent, the restrictions on assigning tourist codes for organized tours to the UAE have now been lifted by the system guaranteeing citizens' rights in the outbound tourism sector.
"As the situation stabilizes and risks to tourists decrease, the issuance of tourist codes for the UAE destination has been restored and continues as normal. Tour operators participating in the guarantee system can issue tourist codes for travelers purchasing organized tours to the Emirates. The return of regular air service is further evidence that tourism links with the UAE are recovering. In particular, Air Astana is resuming regular flights to Dubai from October 2, 2026," the fund said.
The fund recalled that on February 28, amid the unstable situation in the Middle East, "Turistіk Qamqor" temporarily suspended issuing tourist codes for tours to a number of countries in the region.
"It is fundamentally important for us to maintain a balance between tourist safety and the ability of the tourism market to operate fully. Restrictions are introduced as a preventive measure during periods of heightened risk and should not remain in place longer than the situation requires. Our task is to respond promptly to changes while ensuring that tourists can use the protection mechanisms of the guarantee system," said Inna Rey, chair of the corporate fund "Turistіk Qamqor."
The fund added that "Turistіk Qamqor" continues to monitor the situation in the region and reminds tourists to take into account current recommendations from government agencies and airlines when planning trips abroad.
Recall that in mid-September, Air Astana announced it would resume regular flights from Almaty and Astana to Dubai starting in October. Flight frequency will be gradually increased over the course of the month.
