Kazakhstan's under-21 football team suffered an away defeat to Ireland in qualifying for the 2027 European Championship, with the Group D match at Turner's Cross in Cork ending 4-3 to the hosts, according to infohub.kz.
For the winners, defender Alex Murphy scored in the 21st minute, midfielder Jamie Mullins in the 29th, and forward Thomas Lonergan in the 86th, converting a penalty.
For Kazakhstan, forward Artyom Litosh scored in the 1st minute, defenders Ramazan Karimov in the 38th and Sultan Askarov in the 52nd. Another defender, Ali Turganov, scored an own goal in the 48th minute.
In second-half stoppage time, the visitors were reduced to ten men after Litosh was sent off for a second yellow card.
Kazakhstan have now lost four qualifiers in a row for Euro 2027. With four points, the team sits last, sixth, in the group. They will play their final qualifier away to Moldova on 6 October.
Ireland, meanwhile, sit second on 17 points and have no chance of overtaking leaders England.
