Kazakhstan's startup Higgsfield AI, recently valued at over $1 billion and joining the ranks of 'unicorns,' has already attracted 390 companies from the Fortune 500 list. This was stated by the company's CEO and co-founder Alexander Mashrabov in an interview on the Astana Hub YouTube channel, as reported by infohub.kz.
According to him, the majority of the startup's revenue comes from the marketing industry. "More than half of the revenue comes from companies engaged in marketing, mainly social media marketing," Mashrabov noted.
He named the entertainment industry as the second most significant area. According to him, this market is more centralized: there are significantly fewer clients, but each brings in more revenue.
Mashrabov also said that one of the first major advertising campaigns using Higgsfield's technology was Coca-Cola's Christmas ad in the US. "The very first big activation was when Coca-Cola launched its Christmas ad in America, which was generated on Higgsfield," he said.
According to the entrepreneur, the audience's initial reaction to such advertising was negative, as new technologies traditionally meet resistance. However, the use of AI video in marketing has since become a common tool for brands. "Since then, AI video in marketing has become absolutely the norm," Mashrabov noted.
He added that the platform now hosts 390 companies from the Fortune 500 list.
According to the head of Higgsfield, the market is currently experiencing growth in so-called AI-native studios and agencies that create full-cycle advertising campaigns using artificial intelligence. AI has already been used in advertising tied to major events such as the Super Bowl, the FIFA World Cup, and the Olympic Games.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that Higgsfield AI became the first Kazakhstani startup to achieve 'unicorn' status – a private company valued at over $1 billion. The startup was founded by Mashrabov and Yerzat Dulat. The company develops generative video models for creating video content from text prompts.
According to the company, its products are used by over 11 million people, and the number of views of content created via the platform has exceeded 1.2 billion. Additionally, Higgsfield's CTO Yerzat Dulat previously stated that about 90% of the company's team are graduates of Nazarbayev University.
Fortune 500 is a prestigious annual ranking of the 500 largest US corporations, ranked by total revenue for the fiscal year. The list has been published by the influential American business magazine Fortune since 1955. Making it onto this list is considered a symbol of the highest economic success and business stability.
