The Kazakhstan women's national volleyball team got off to a strong start at the 2026 Asian Championship in Tianjin, China. In the second round of the group stage, the Kazakh athletes faced Australia and secured a victory with a score of 3:0 (25:21, 25:18, 25:21), reports infohub.kz.

Under the guidance of head coach Askar Shalkibekov, the national team demonstrated cohesive play and left their opponents no chance for success. The best player for Kazakhstan was again outside hitter Tatyana Nikitina, who scored 20 points, confirming her high level.

After two rounds, the Kazakh volleyball players have three points. Thailand and Indonesia also have the same number of points, and they are set to face each other in the second round. Australia currently sits at the bottom of Group B with no points.
