Kazhydromet meteorologists presented an advisory forecast for the final month of autumn. According to their data, the average monthly temperature in November across most of the country, as well as in the mountainous areas of the southeast, is expected to range from 0 to -5°C, while in the southern and southwestern parts of the country thermometers will register between +1 and +9°C.
Precipitation is forecast to be near normal in almost all regions. However, above-normal precipitation is expected in certain areas of North Kazakhstan, East Kazakhstan, West Kazakhstan, Pavlodar, Kostanay, Akmola, Aktobe, and Almaty regions, as well as in the Abai and Zhetysu regions.
In Astana, the monthly average temperature is expected to be around -3.6°C, which is 1.6°C above normal. At the beginning of the month, the air will warm up to +7…+12°C, then gradually cool to -4…-9°C. Then temperatures will traditionally drop to -2…+3°C. However, the cold snap will be short-lived: already at the beginning of the second decade, the air will warm up to +12…+17°C. The third decade of November will also be contrasting: first, frosts down to -3…+2°C, and later a sharp rise in temperature to +15…+20°C. Precipitation will mainly be in the form of rain and wet snow. Ice and fog are also possible. Winds will be gusty up to 15 m/s.
