The Government of Kazakhstan has allocated 2.7 billion tenge from the Special State Fund to complete the reconstruction of the Presnovsky and Sokolovsky group water pipelines in the North Kazakhstan Region, reports infohub.kz.
According to the Cabinet of Ministers, these funds will improve water supply for 43 settlements in the Esil, Mamlyut, and Zhambyl districts, home to 34,500 people. To date, 171 km of main pipeline and distribution lines have been laid, along with 46 km of intra-village networks.
Work continues on the construction and upgrade of pressure-regulating facilities necessary for water accumulation, distribution, and maintaining required pressure.
The reconstruction of the Sokolovsky group water pipeline affects 10 villages in the Kyzylzhar district, with a population of over 4,000. The project includes the construction of 59 km of distribution lines and 77 km of intra-village networks.
The Presnovsky and Sokolovsky pipelines are scheduled to be commissioned by the end of 2026, as promised by the government.
It is noted that from 2024 to 2026, the government has approved funding for over 500 social projects totaling 610 billion tenge from the Special State Fund, most of which have already been put into operation.
