In the coming days, the weather in Kazakhstan will be influenced by a northwestern cyclone with atmospheric fronts, bringing rain, thunderstorms, locally heavy downpours and hail, as well as lowering temperatures in several regions of the country, reports infohub.kz.
According to weather forecasters, a cold atmospheric front will move across the republic, accompanied by heavy precipitation. Most regions will see rain with thunderstorms, with heavy downpours expected in the north and center, and hail in some areas.
Along with the deteriorating weather, forecasters also predict a drop in air temperature. In northern regions, daytime temperatures will be 22–27 degrees Celsius. In the east of Kazakhstan, the heat will also begin to recede: previously thermometers rose to 33–38 degrees, but in the coming days they will drop to a more comfortable 27–32 degrees.
In Astana, on August 5, partly cloudy skies, rain, thunderstorms, hail, and squalls are expected, with heavy rain in the morning and afternoon. Northwest wind 9-14 m/s, with gusts up to 15-20 m/s during the day. Night temperature +16+18°C, daytime +23+25°C. On August 6, rain and thunderstorms are also possible, with night temperatures of +13+15°C and daytime +26+28°C. By August 7, precipitation will cease, with temperatures remaining at +13+15°C at night and +26+28°C during the day.
In Almaty, on August 5, brief rain and thunderstorms are expected, with southwest wind 3-8 m/s, occasionally gusting to 15 m/s. Night temperature +17+19°C, daytime +27+29°C. On August 6 and 7, brief showers with thunderstorms are also possible, with temperatures gradually rising to +31+33°C during the day.
In Shymkent, no precipitation is expected: on August 5, partly cloudy, northwest wind 8-13 m/s, with gusts up to 15-20 m/s at night. Night temperature +19+21°C, daytime +30+32°C. On August 6, no precipitation, night +18+20°C, daytime +33+35°C. On August 7, also dry, night +20+22°C, daytime +35+37°C.
