Kazhydromet meteorologists have released their weather forecast for Kazakhstan for the coming days, September 26–28. Several regions of the country are expected to see temperatures drop, with precipitation in some areas, including snow, according to infohub.kz.
According to the forecast, a northwestern anticyclone will dominate the weather across most of the republic in the coming days, bringing dry conditions and lower air temperatures.
Throughout the period, western and northwestern Kazakhstan, as well as the north, east, and southwest on September 27–28, are expected to remain dry.
At the same time, the east, center, south, and southeast of the republic will see rain and thunderstorms as atmospheric frontal systems pass through. At night, mountainous areas of Almaty Region may see precipitation in the form of rain and snow.
Fog is forecast in some areas during the night and morning hours. Wind is expected to strengthen in most regions of the republic, with dust storms in the south.
Throughout the period, nighttime frosts of -1 to -3 degrees are expected in the north and east, and on September 27–28 in the northwest and center of the country.
It is worth noting that eyewitnesses reported the first snowfall in the mountains of Almaty, with corresponding footage published on social media.
