Nighttime frost is expected in eight regions of Kazakhstan and in the capital on the night of September 27, while rain and thunderstorms will hit the south and southeast of the republic, with dust storms possible in some areas during the day. According to forecasters, the weather will be dry across most of the country. Rain and thunderstorms are expected in Turkistan, Zhambyl, and Kyzylorda regions. In Shymkent, precipitation is forecast for the morning and afternoon, and in Taraz at night.
In the north of Turkistan region, as well as in the north and center of Kyzylorda region, a dust storm is possible during the day. Wind gusts in some regions will reach 15–20 meters per second.
At night, temperatures will drop to frost in isolated areas of Akmola, Aktobe, Kostanay, North Kazakhstan, Pavlodar, East Kazakhstan regions, and the Abai region. In the east of Karaganda region, frost down to one degree is expected on the soil surface.
In Astana, frost down to two degrees is forecast on the soil surface at night. In Pavlodar, down to one degree and fog. Fog is also expected at night and in the morning in several areas in the west, north, and center of the country, including in Oral and Petropavl.
Extreme fire danger will persist completely or in isolated areas of 14 regions. Among them are Turkistan, Zhambyl, Kyzylorda, and Almaty regions, as well as Ulytau and Zhetisu regions. In Karaganda, Zhezkazgan, Atyrau, Shymkent, Turkistan, Kyzylorda, and Taraz, such a warning is also in effect for cities.
Earlier, Kazhydromet had already warned that nighttime frost and the first snow were approaching Kazakhstan.
