Most regions are under storm warnings. In Astana, occasional rain and thunderstorms are expected, with daytime temperatures reaching 35–36°C and high fire danger. Almaty will see extreme heat of 40–42°C from July 18 to 20. In the Karaganda region, rain and thunderstorms are forecast in the west and north, light rain with thunderstorms in the east, winds of 15–20 m/s, daytime temperatures of 35–37°C, and high to extreme fire danger. In the Ulytau region, light rain and thunderstorms are expected in the west, north, and east, with winds of 15–20 m/s, daytime temperatures of 36–39°C, and high to extreme fire danger. In the Kyzylorda region, possible rain and thunderstorms at night in the north, a dust storm in the center during the day, winds of 15–20 m/s, intense heat of 40–44°C, and extreme fire danger. In the Zhetysu region, from July 19–20, northeastern winds will strengthen to 23–28 m/s near Lake Alakol, with daytime temperatures of 40–45°C. In the North Kazakhstan region, rain and thunderstorms, hail and squalls during the day in the south and east, fog at night and in the morning, and high fire danger in the south.
