Kazakhstan Warned of Heavy Rain, Hail, and Strong Winds on August 6

On Thursday, August 6, most of Kazakhstan will experience unstable weather. Atmospheric fronts will bring rain with thunderstorms, locally heavy downpours, hail, and squally winds, reports infohub.kz.

Meanwhile, in the west and south of the country, little to no precipitation is expected, and temperatures will rise to +38 degrees. Storm warnings have been issued in most regions.

The most intense precipitation is forecast for the east of the country, mountainous areas of the southeast, and at night in northern and central regions. Hail is possible in some areas. Across the republic, winds are expected to strengthen, and in the west and north, fog may form in places at night and in the morning.

In Astana, rain and thunderstorms are forecast for the night. In Almaty, light rain and thunderstorms are expected, and in the Ile Alatau mountains, heavy downpours, thunderstorms, and daytime hail are possible.

Difficult weather conditions are also forecast for Karaganda, Pavlodar, East Kazakhstan, Abai, North Kazakhstan, and Zhetisu regions, where heavy rain, hail, squalls, and gusty winds up to 23–25 m/s are expected in places.

Despite precipitation in several regions, intense heat will persist in the west. Daytime temperatures will reach +35…+37 degrees in Atyrau, Ulytau, the southwest of West Kazakhstan, and the south and east of Aktobe regions. The highest temperature is expected in Mangistau region — in the northeast and south, thermometers will rise to +38 degrees.

Almost throughout the country, there is a high risk of natural fires. High fire danger has been declared in several districts of West Kazakhstan, Abai, East Kazakhstan, Aktobe, Zhambyl, Almaty, Mangistau, Kostanay, North Kazakhstan, Akmola, Pavlodar, Turkestan, Karaganda regions, Ulytau and Zhetisu regions.

Extreme fire danger persists in Atyrau, Kyzylorda, Zhambyl, and Turkestan regions, as well as in some districts of West Kazakhstan, Mangistau, Aktobe, Kostanay, Akmola, Karaganda, East Kazakhstan, Almaty regions, Abai, Zhetisu, and Ulytau regions. Extreme fire danger also remains in Almaty, Shymkent, Taldykorgan, and Kyzylorda, while high danger is in Zhezkazgan, Aktau, Aktobe, Pavlodar, Semey, and Konayev.

Earlier, weather forecasters warned Kazakhstanis that heat from Iran up to +42 degrees and rain with hail are coming to Kazakhstan.
