The Tengri Camp team treated Burning Man festival guests to beshbarmak in the Black Rock Desert, Nevada, reports infohub.kz.
This year, Kazakhs brought 11 yurts to the festival and plan to feed about 5,000 people with the national dish. Footage from the scene shows festival participants receiving large portions of beshbarmak. At one table, people from different countries can be seen trying the Kazakh dish and chatting with camp members.
Tengri Camp has been representing Kazakhstan at Burning Man for the second year. In 2025, the team brought a real Kazakh yurt to the desert for the first time. This year, they scaled up to 11 yurts, turning the camp into a small Kazakh village.
According to team members, they plan to feed about 5,000 people this year. They spent about $16,000 (7.2 million tenge) on food alone. All the products were delivered to the American desert, where they are prepared for festival guests.
