Drivers in Kazakhstan can now pay for toll roads without stopping. To do this, they need to install free RFID tags on their vehicles, reports infohub.kz.

According to the press service of KazAvtoZhol, users of toll roads of national significance can use RFID tags for automatic toll payment. This technology will reduce the time spent at toll plazas and decrease queues.

"The RFID tag is installed on the vehicle and linked to its state registration number and the user's personal account. When passing through, the system automatically recognizes the vehicle and deducts the payment from the balance without the need to stop," the company explained.

It is noted that RFID tags are provided free of charge. They can be obtained and installed at toll collection points on toll sections of national roads. Staff will help link the device to the vehicle.

"The use of tags increases the throughput of toll plazas and makes travel more convenient, especially during periods of high traffic. The company recommends obtaining a free tag in advance and maintaining a positive account balance to pay for travel automatically and without stopping," added KazAvtoZhol.

For questions regarding the acquisition and use of RFID tags, Kazakhstani citizens are asked to contact the KazAvtoZhol call center at 1403.
